We had great fun making food for the birds. The mixture was all sticky on our fingers! Faith worked hard with her friends to figure out how to she could reach the tree branch that was really high up….
We are very excited to be going to see Charlie and Lola at the Waterside centre in Sale on Tuesday 12th December. We will be leaving school by coach at 9.30am and hope to return to school by lunchtime (approx 12.00pm).
All children are able to come, even if your child does not usually attend nursery on this day. All we ask is that you pick your child up from school when we return. Unfortunately due to numbers in the nursery we can not allow children who don’t usually attend on a Tuesday to stay for the rest of the day once we have returned.
If you have not already done so please ensure that you have paid the fee for the trip and returned the consent form to school. If you do not have a letter please speak to a member of staff and they will be happy to get you another one.
Im sure it will be a very enjoyable day for everyone!
On Wednesday 19th October at 2pm in the main hall the children from the Foundation Stage (Nursery & Reception) will be taking part in a ‘Big Boogie’.
We are going to see how many ’5 a day’ clips we can do. These are 5 minute videos each containing different themed dance style workouts. You are all welcome to come along and join in the fun!
This will be a sponsored event to raise money for the Foundation stage, please see a member of staff if you have not recieved your sponsor form or if you have any queries regarding this event.
We have been sharing the story, ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen. We went on our own bear hunt around school and listened carefully for the different sounds we made.
A big welcome to our new children and parents! The first few weeks have flown by and the children are settling well into nursery. I hope you enjoy reading the blog, it’s a great way to find out about what we’ve been up to. The children love looking at pictures of themselves and hopefully it will encourage them to tell you about our adventures!
Just a few reminders:
Please try to collect your child promptly at 3pm. Parking is an issue at school so please allow plenty of time to park or to walk to school.
Please bring proof of your child’s birth date into school (either a birth certificate or passport)
Please ensure your child has a set of spare clothes in school, these do not need to be school uniform.
Please leave a pair of named wellies in school for our child as children wear them in the sand pit and when it is wet.
Children had a fantastic time meeting Sally (a giant African snail), Eddie (a hissing cockroach, Milly (a giant millipede, Ozzy (a dragon lizard) and Rosy (a tarantula).
We will be visiting Lostock Library on the morning of Thursday 30th June. The children will have the opportunity to meet a variety of minibeasts and other creatures. If you are free to walk to the library with us we would be grateful. It should be a fantastic learning opportunity for the children. A big thank you needs to go to Lostock Library for putting this event on for us!
The Nursery trip to Lytham St Annes will now take place on Monday 4th July. Please send any remaining money and permission into school as soon as possible.
The nursery will be visiting Lytham St Annes on Thursday 30th June. The cost for the trip will be £10. It would be helpful if trip money could be handed in by 17th June (end of first week back after holidays). Children will need to bring a packed lunch in a named disposable bag.
We would also recommend children bring the following:
Waterproof jacket
Sunhat
Suncream
Spare change of clothes (in case we go paddling)
If you are able to come on the trip with us please speak to a member of staff. Due to the age of the children we like to take as many adults as possible.
